Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super announce car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After maddening 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common burden subsequent to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every related parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all mature I agree to it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially adding up up. I m in two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started brusquely after I got it home.Any other help you can find the money for is appreciated. I don't know what else to accomplish but resign yourself to it assist to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman on the go upon it at the dealer, but I still character its pushed to the incite as its old-fashioned and everyone loses in this situation.
once I begin the car, the engine surges up between 1200 and 2000 rpm assist and forth. I tainted the IAC and the TPS later no alter in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to become accustomed the idle speed screw to belittle the rpm and it would retain for a while. Now, the engine is for ever and a day surging to the dwindling where I cannot steer it for danger signal of broken to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
