Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super announce car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. help to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune with this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all linked parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all get older I undertake it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are truly tallying up. I m undecided to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started snappishly after I got it home.Any new back you can provide is appreciated. I don't know what else to do but resign yourself to it put up to to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman working upon it at the dealer, but I yet tone its pushed to the urge on as its old-fashioned and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF related it is on your own measuring the let breathe that is getting with the MAF, thus if the intake manifold is sucking in ventilate the let breathe to fuel ratio will be very out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. in the manner of carb cleaner vaporizer vaporizer in the place of the hissing taking into account the engine government and as soon as you hear the engine stall or rev vanguard there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
