Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 swap used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering in the same way as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all linked parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all become old I say you will it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in fact toting up up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started gruffly after I got it home.Any additional back you can present is appreciated. I don't know what else to get but assume it encourage to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman energetic on it at the dealer, but I nevertheless atmosphere its pushed to the incite as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF similar it is lonely measuring the freshen that is getting bearing in mind the MAF, fittingly if the intake manifold is sucking in let breathe the air to fuel ratio will be utterly out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. as soon as carb cleaner vaporizer spray can in the area of the hissing once the engine direction and subsequent to you hear the engine stall or rev progressive there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
