Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 vary used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common pain in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every epoch I say you will it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in point of fact add-on up. I m undecided to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started shortly after I got it home.Any extra support you can pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to accomplish but assume it help to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman committed upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless vibes its pushed to the back as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF united it is only measuring the expose that is getting as soon as the MAF, in view of that if the intake manifold is sucking in air the ventilate to fuel ratio will be unquestionably out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. in imitation of carb cleaner spray spray in the place of the hissing like the engine running and afterward you hear the engine stall or rev unconventional there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
