I have a 2004 ES330 past a hestitation problem. It is good from a full end but gone I go roughly turns on onto highway ramps, subsequent to I hurt the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds back reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon like the thesame engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights face on? Is the battery sufficiently charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively further battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried suitably far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. behind I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems good except that the TPS stays constant on the subject of 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model so it has not throttle cable or normal TPS. I believe the TPS is integrated considering the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: anything else you desire the mechanic to know previously I be close to you? No, I guess that is it.
Might along with be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can do a quick idiosyncrasy find if you unplug the meter and govern the engine without it. if the engine condition is the thesame then chances are the meter or the connection to it is faulty. Its also worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated past dirt more than times which next offsets the reading. Use some right of entry cleaner or brake cleaner to spray can onto the wires to cut off the dirt on no account lie alongside the wires like anything as they are categorically fragile
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. later than the MAF is plugged in later the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is in addition to an intermittent popping unquestionable coming at idle.
