Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make known car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. back to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship subsequent to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all combined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every era I assume it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly appendage up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests upon the ventilate flow meter and said it was good. similar to I unplug it and direct the motor, the car runs prickly and at 850ish. I can single-handedly guess that my additional rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much direct in the oscillate of rpm though? I think it unaided adjusts it roughly speaking 1k..
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode correspondingly I'd recommend to make definite the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry taking into account carbon. and then accustom yourself the TPS fittingly that the IDL stick is continuous to the E2 attach once the throttle is closed, and get into circuit in imitation of the throttle is just cracked. Don't make miserable just about any voltages, the IDL right of entry is the in reality important one.
