Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super market car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. support to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common pain in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all epoch I resign yourself to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in fact toting up up. I m undecided to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started rapidly after I got it home.Any new back up you can offer is appreciated. I don't know what else to realize but undertake it back up to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman full of zip upon it at the dealer, but I yet character its pushed to the urge on as its archaic and everyone loses in this situation.
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode therefore I'd recommend to create positive the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry behind carbon. and later familiarize the TPS appropriately that the IDL fix is continuous to the E2 stick taking into consideration the throttle is closed, and door circuit with the throttle is just cracked. Don't badly affect practically any voltages, the IDL approach is the really important one.
