Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super publicize car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 swap used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common suffering afterward this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on all similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I understand it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really adding up up. I m unsure to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
Thanks for your response. I just checked what you mentioned, that I hadn't already checked, except fuel pressure.Let me say you a little more practically the difficulty history. It currently has a master tech recognized idle freshen run valve and tps installed. without upsetting anything, the last (used) ecu and my original, would direct in the car without this symptom.
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode hence I'd suggest to make clear the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly grounded taking into account carbon. and later acclimatize the TPS appropriately that the IDL fasten is continuous to the E2 fix like the throttle is closed, and gain access to circuit in the manner of the throttle is just cracked. Don't badly affect approximately any voltages, the IDL contact is the essentially important one.
