I have a 2004 ES330 taking into account a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full end but with I go just about turns upon onto highway ramps, taking into consideration I depress the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds back reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon like the similar engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights outlook on? Is the battery sufficiently charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively other battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried appropriately far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. as soon as I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems good except that the TPS stays constant a propos 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model correspondingly it has not throttle cable or normal TPS. I say you will the TPS is integrated in the manner of the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: anything else you want the mechanic to know before I affix you? No, I guess that is it.
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests upon the expose flow meter and said it was good. subsequently I unplug it and govern the motor, the car runs prickly and at 850ish. I can abandoned guess that my further rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much run in the substitute of rpm though? I think it without help adjusts it re 1k..
taking into account I begin the car, the engine surges going on between 1200 and 2000 rpm encourage and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS in the manner of no modify in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to accustom yourself the idle rapidity screw to belittle the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is continuously surging to the reduction where I cannot drive it for fear of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
