Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super broadcast car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. support to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common pain past this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every time I consent it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really addendum up. I m of two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this hardship has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or fittingly it seems. I've been dealing with this since July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 period more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been in point of fact fine to him.. I'm having a hard epoch not being mordant when this purchase. I get atmosphere behind its a fine car though. Motor sounds charming and is super mild similar to dealing out right.
bearing in mind I start the car, the engine surges going on between 1200 and 2000 rpm back up and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS subsequently no fine-tune in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to accustom yourself the idle swiftness screw to humiliate the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is constantly surging to the lessening where I cannot drive it for distress signal of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
