Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge hardship that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. assist to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship once this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I recognize it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly appendage up. I m in two minds to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests on the air flow meter and said it was good. next I unplug it and manage the motor, the car runs rasping and at 850ish. I can lonesome guess that my further rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of every this. I don't think the tps has that much direct in the rotate of rpm though? I think it solitary adjusts it on the order of 1k..
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode for that reason I'd suggest to make sure the throttle plate is 100% closed and not slightly grounded similar to carbon. and subsequently familiarize the TPS so that the IDL pin is continuous to the E2 fix subsequent to the throttle is closed, and contact circuit as soon as the throttle is just cracked. Don't cause problems not quite any voltages, the IDL open is the in reality important one.
