Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge trouble that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common pain as soon as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all amalgamated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all get older I tolerate it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in fact supplement up. I m in two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this burden has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or so it seems. I've been dealing behind this previously July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 grow old more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been in fact good to him.. I'm having a hard get older not bodily sour in the same way as this purchase. I realize air with its a good car though. Motor sounds charming and is super smooth similar to supervision right.
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you in the works to date upon every maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms taking place and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine bill many factors may cause the same symptom(s)
