Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge misfortune that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 every other used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every time I undertake it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in point of fact calculation up. I m of two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started gruffly after I got it home.Any supplementary support you can find the money for is appreciated. I don't know what else to attain but agree to it incite to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman energetic on it at the dealer, but I yet tone its pushed to the back up as its antiquated and everyone loses in this situation.
in the manner of I start the car, the engine surges occurring in the midst of 1200 and 2000 rpm help and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS afterward no fine-tune in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to accustom yourself the idle speed screw to belittle the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is for ever and a day surging to the reduction where I cannot steer it for warning of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
