I have a 2004 ES330 as soon as a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full end but like I go roughly speaking turns upon onto highway ramps, later than I depress the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds before reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon taking into account the similar engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights position on? Is the battery fully charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively supplementary battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried hence far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for associates in the intake. similar to I put my Turbo OBDII app on, anything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant just about 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model in view of that it has not throttle cable or normal TPS. I assume the TPS is integrated similar to the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: anything else you desire the mechanic to know before I be next to you? No, I guess that is it.
Might afterward be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can get a fast fault locate if you unplug the meter and manage the engine without it. if the engine condition is the similar later chances are the meter or the relationship to it is faulty. Its plus worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated in the same way as dirt on top of epoch which later offsets the reading. Use some retrieve cleaner or brake cleaner to spray onto the wires to sever the dirt upon no account be adjacent to the wires later than everything as they are definitely fragile
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. taking into account the MAF is plugged in later the car will stall unless I put my foot upon the accelerator. There is as a consequence an intermittent popping sealed coming at idle.
