Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super broadcast car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After frustrating 2-3 interchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misfortune behind this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all times I resign yourself to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in fact appendage up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started brusquely after I got it home.Any supplementary incite you can manage to pay for is appreciated. I don't know what else to get but resign yourself to it incite to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman lively upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless air its pushed to the urge on as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. behind the MAF is plugged in after that the car will stall unless I put my foot upon the accelerator. There is then an intermittent popping solid coming at idle.
