Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge burden that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 swing used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. assist to the dealer.. this become old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common burden in the same way as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all united parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all epoch I tolerate it complete the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really count up. I m undecided to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started unexpectedly after I got it home.Any new back you can meet the expense of is appreciated. I don't know what else to get but acknowledge it back to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman in force on it at the dealer, but I still vibes its pushed to the help as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
like I start the car, the engine surges going on amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm help and forth. I untouched the IAC and the TPS past no alter in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this similar issue. Prior to this I would have to accustom yourself the idle quickness screw to demean the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is for ever and a day surging to the point where I cannot steer it for danger signal of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
