Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super promote car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 oscillate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. put up to to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering in the same way as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all connected parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all get older I give a positive response it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially extra up. I m unsure to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car going on this morning, it starts up and runs at 1750 and within a minute or correspondingly climbs higher than 2500.. It is processing smooth though, just artifice highly developed than it should be. I with checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, intentionally turned it out and nothing changed. put it back up to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and every contacts verified. I mood fine virtually them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode therefore I'd recommend to create clear the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stuck afterward carbon. and next get used to the TPS so that the IDL attach is continuous to the E2 fix following the throttle is closed, and approach circuit with the throttle is just cracked. Don't cause problems practically any voltages, the IDL admittance is the in reality important one.
