Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super spread around car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After frustrating 2-3 vary used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common difficulty similar to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all joined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every epoch I agree to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in point of fact surcharge up. I m hesitant to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests on the let breathe flow meter and said it was good. similar to I unplug it and govern the motor, the car runs rough and at 850ish. I can unaccompanied guess that my additional rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or somehow my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much manage in the stand-in of rpm though? I think it solitary adjusts it on the order of 1k..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode hence I'd recommend to make sure the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry afterward carbon. and later become accustomed the TPS so that the IDL attach is continuous to the E2 fasten gone the throttle is closed, and right of entry circuit bearing in mind the throttle is just cracked. Don't make miserable about any voltages, the IDL admittance is the in fact important one.
