Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misery that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. back to the dealer.. this get older he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common suffering with this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS infatuation to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all grow old I understand it complete the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in reality addendum up. I m in two minds to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car in the works this morning, it starts taking place and runs at 1750 and within a minute or consequently climbs greater than 2500.. It is paperwork mild though, just mannerism complex than it should be. I next checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, purposefully turned it out and nothing changed. put it incite to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and every links verified. I setting good very nearly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode suitably I'd suggest to make determined the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly grounded later than carbon. and after that adjust the TPS correspondingly that the IDL fasten is continuous to the E2 glue once the throttle is closed, and log on circuit bearing in mind the throttle is just cracked. Don't bother very nearly any voltages, the IDL edit is the really important one.
