This could be an airleak after the airflow meter, any air dragged in here isn t seen by the ECU and therefore not compensated for and can lean the engine out and can next permit the engine to rev going on considering not desired causing argumentative running. As its a mechanical deformity it tends not to slant on the deviation open and you can sometimes hear a hissing noise like the engine running.
Might with be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can realize a quick irregularity locate if you unplug the meter and direct the engine without it. if the engine condition is the same then chances are the meter or the relationship to it is faulty.
