Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After bothersome 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. put up to to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering afterward this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every amalgamated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every mature I resign yourself to it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in point of fact surcharge up. I m of two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started rudely after I got it home.Any further encourage you can give is appreciated. I don't know what else to accomplish but take it support to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman lively upon it at the dealer, but I still setting its pushed to the back as its outmoded and everyone loses in this situation.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. subsequent to the MAF is plugged in later the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is in addition to an intermittent popping sound coming at idle.
